To the editor,
I am hearing more and more about new Genetically Engineered crops seeking introduction into the environment through the heavy handed lobbying of corporations like Monsanto. GE varieties of corn having already been sewn throughout Vermont, I’m not sure if the food I’m eating is safe. Other crops like grasses, wheat, and alfalfa, will only increase my concerns as more of the food I buy will potentially be contaminated by these genetically engineered varieties. We need to stop this before it gets much worse. I want to know that the food I am eating is safe and no research I’ve seen from the corporations that produce these genetic varieties can guarantee that at all.
I am writing to support the bills that are in the legislature to stop any more GMOs from being planted in Vermont. Our health and future depend on it.
Sincerely,
[your name and address]
