The Meatrix (www.themeatrix.com)

The Meatrix is a humorous 4-minute Flash animation that spoofs The Matrix films and highlights the problems of factory farming.

Instead of Keanu Reaves, The Meatrix stars a young pig, Leo, who lives on a pleasant family farm...he thinks. Leo is approached by a trenchcoat-clad cow, Moopheus, who shows him the ugly truth about agribusiness. Since its release in November 2003, The Meatrix has been viewed online by over 10 million people and by countless others at various film festivals, fairs, and conferences around the world. The film has won several awards, including a Webby. The Meatrix is a project of GRACE (Global Resource Action Center for the Environment) and Free Range Graphics.
