The Agency of Natural Resources issued a notice that they will hold a public hearing on August 11, 2005, on the draft stormwater permit for the proposed Wal Mart development in St. Albans. Wal Mart claimed in their permit request that paving over of cornfields for a parking lot would improve water quality in the Stevens Brook and Lake Champlain.

What a week in the Vermont Statehouse! On Tuesday, approximately 50 folks turned out for a great march to and rally at the statehouse in support of the Farmer Protection Act.
