PODCAST

Join Rural Vermont as we explore the people, the places, and the history that define us, both as a culture and an organization.  We’ll enjoy stories from the past, hear lessons for the present, and draw on this shared wisdom to inform the future.

Join us as we talk with Chris Wood - a perennial fixture in the Rural Vermont world and far beyond. Chris, if you happen to know him, is one of the least self-aggrandizing humans you’ve ever met, whose humility underscores a very long list of accomplishments including founding or co-founding over fourteen non-profits in Vermont, working as Anthony Pollina’s campaign manager in the 80’s, serving on numerous boards, including Rural Vermont, and most recently founding BALE (Building a Local Economy), a community resource center for local economy initiatives in the White River Valley. Though Chris retired from BALE in 2021 and has hung up many of his leadership hats, he continues to be an influence and supporter to the many who know him.
